The allegations that have been discussed for years regarding the disappearance of Munzur University student Gülistan Doku have taken on a completely different dimension with new information added to the prosecutor's file. Simultaneous operations were carried out by the units conducting the investigation to apprehend 13 suspects in Istanbul, Ankara, Bursa, Izmir, Antalya, Elazig, and Tunceli.
During the operation, Gülistan Doku's boyfriend Zeinal Abakarov, his stepfather and former police officer Engin Yücer, his mother Cemile Yücer, Uğurcan Açıkgöz, Erdoğan Elaldı, Mustafa Türkay Sonel—the son of the former Tunceli Governor and current Interior Ministry inspector Tuncay Sonel—Gökhan Ertok, Savaş Gültürk, Süleyman Önal, Celal Altaş, and Nurşen Arıkan were taken into custody.
MESSAGES SENT BY GÜLİSTAN'S BOYFRIEND REVEALED
In the reopened file, the messages sent by Gülistan Doku's boyfriend Zaynal Abakarov to Gülistan were featured in a report by tv100.
It was observed that Abakarov sent the following messages to Gülistan:
"Look, I'm telling you, if you can't go yourself, tell me, I will come and we will go together. If you ask for help from the Russian Consulate, since I am also Russian, they will immediately support us there. And no one will interfere with us.
If you want, they will send you by plane immediately, then they will tell the state, and they won't hand you over to the state until you want them to. If you want, tell me, I will come directly with them. I'm telling you, Gülistan, don't be afraid. I will do anything for you. Trust me.

I swear I'm not afraid of anything there. I'm afraid that they are holding you somewhere by force. If there is such a thing, send a message. I will come, let them kill me if they want. But I will try to get you out. The state can't do anything either."
WHO ARE THE PEOPLE ZAYNAL REFERS TO AS 'THEM'?
It is understood from the messages Zaynal sent that he thought Gülistan was in a place with a Russian Consulate (likely in Ankara or Istanbul).
Because he said, "I swear I will come there, I am not afraid of them, I will get you out of their hands," regarding the people holding her by force, it is thought that Zaynal knows or is guessing who they are.
It has not yet been clarified who the person or people Zaynal refers to as 'Them'—whom he claims to know and not be afraid of in his Instagram messages—are.
