Meteorology had been warning for days: Heavy rain has begun in Istanbul

The expected heavy rainfall in Istanbul has begun to make itself felt. Yesterday, the Meteorology Department issued warnings regarding heavy rain and thunderstorms for Friday.

The Meteorology Department also added that due to the rain expected to be heavy in Istanbul, precautions should be taken against negative conditions such as flash floods, water inundation, lightning, hail, and strong winds.

Furthermore, it is estimated that there will be no significant change in air temperature and that it will remain around seasonal norms. The wind is expected to blow generally from the north, and from the south and west in the southern parts, light to occasionally moderate.
