Meteorology issues warning: Watch out for tomorrow!

AFAD announced that, based on the latest information received from the General Directorate of Meteorology, yellow code warnings have been issued for 30 provinces and orange code warnings for 20 provinces as of today. It was stated that for tomorrow, yellow code warnings will be in effect for 16 provinces and orange code warnings for 13 provinces.

It was stated that SMS messages were sent to citizens living in provinces under orange code warnings and that information was provided through public address systems in the cities.

THOUSANDS OF PERSONNEL ON DUTY

In the statement, it was reported that a total of 6,747 personnel and 2,853 vehicles are on duty due to adverse weather conditions. It was noted that efforts to clear roads closed due to snow and blizzards and to resolve power outages are continuing without interruption.

WARNING TO CITIZENS

AFAD warned citizens to be cautious against potential negative impacts such as floods, flash floods, lightning, local hail, sudden strong winds, and short-term storms, as well as potential disruptions in transportation due to icing, frost, and blizzards in higher elevations.
