Storm and strong wind warning from Meteorology: It will intensify today
The General Directorate of Meteorology has announced that the lodos (southwesterly wind) will intensify, with very strong storms expected in the Aegean, Mediterranean, and the southern and western parts of Central Anatolia. Warnings have also been issued for heavy rainfall and strong winds.

The General Directorate of Meteorology has announced that very strong storms from southerly directions are expected in the Aegean, the inland parts of the Mediterranean, and the southern and western parts of Central Anatolia.
HEAVY RAIN AND THUNDERSTORMS EXPECTED
According to the forecasts for today, the western parts of the country will be partly to very cloudy. Marmara (except Bilecik), the coastal Aegean, the Western Black Sea (except Sinop), and the surroundings of Manisa, Isparta, Antalya, Afyonkarahisar, Eskişehir, Çankırı, the north and west of Ankara, and the east of Burdur will experience showers and thunderstorms. In other regions, clear to partly cloudy weather is expected.
TEMPERATURES NEAR SEASONAL NORMALS
Air temperatures will be around seasonal normals. However, it was emphasized that caution should be exercised, especially due to the wind and precipitation.
STRONG WIND WARNING
Citizens have been warned against potential negative consequences due to strong winds expected to blow from southerly directions at speeds of 40-60 km/h in the Aegean, the inland parts of the Mediterranean, and the southern and western parts of Central Anatolia. It was stated that caution is necessary against incidents such as fallen trees and roofs being blown off, especially as the storm intensifies.
