In the December 16 weather report from the General Directorate of Meteorology, yellow and orange code warnings were issued for 17 provinces.

According to the latest evaluations made by the General Directorate of Meteorology, it is estimated that the country will be partly to very cloudy, with precipitation expected in the Marmara, Aegean, Western Mediterranean, northwestern Central Anatolia, Western Black Sea regions, as well as the surroundings of Samsun and Ordu. The precipitation, which will generally be in the form of rain and showers, and mixed rain and sleet in the surroundings of Edirne and Kırklareli, is expected to be heavy in the Marmara, Coastal Aegean, and Antalya regions, and very heavy in the south of Çanakkale, the western coasts of Balıkesir, the coasts of Muğla, and the eastern districts of Antalya.

On the other hand, yellow and orange code warnings have been issued for 17 provinces.

YELLOW AND ORANGE CODE WARNING FOR 17 PROVINCES

Provinces under yellow code warning: Edirne, Tekirdağ, Istanbul, Kocaeli, Yalova, Sakarya, Bursa, Manisa, Izmir, Aydın, Muğla, Burdur, Isparta, and Antalya

Provinces under orange code warning: Kırklareli, Çanakkale, and Balıkesir

MARMARA

It is estimated that the region will be very cloudy and rainy. The precipitation, which is expected to be generally rain and showers, occasionally thunderstorms, and starting from Saturday morning in the surroundings of Edirne and Kırklareli as mixed rain and snow, is expected to be heavy throughout the region except for the surroundings of Sakarya and Bilecik, and very heavy in the south of Çanakkale and the western coasts of Balıkesir. The wind is expected to blow from the north and northeast, strong and occasionally as a storm (50-90 km/h) throughout the region.

AEGEAN

It is estimated that the region will be very cloudy, with rain and showers, and occasionally thunderstorms throughout the region. Precipitation is expected to be heavy in the Coastal Aegean and very heavy on the coasts of Muğla. The wind is expected to blow from the north in the Northern Aegean and from the south in the Coastal Aegean, strong and in the form of a storm (40-70 km/h). Patchy fog and mist are expected in the inland areas during the night and morning hours.
