Yellow and orange code warning from Meteorology! Thunderstorms are coming

According to the latest assessments made by the General Directorate of Meteorology, it is estimated that the Marmara, Aegean, Western Mediterranean, the northwest of Central Anatolia, the Western and Central Black Sea regions, the coastal parts of the Eastern Black Sea, and the surroundings of Yozgat, Kırıkkale, Van, Bitlis, Siirt, Şırnak, and Hakkari will experience showers and thunderstorms, while other areas will be partly to mostly cloudy. Precipitation is expected to be locally heavy across the Western Black Sea region, in the surroundings of Bursa, Yalova, Kocaeli, Sakarya, Ankara, Çankırı, İzmir, Manisa, Aydın, and Muğla, as well as in the east of Antalya.

4 PROVINCES UNDER YELLOW, 12 PROVINCES UNDER ORANGE CODE WARNING

According to the warning map on the MGM website, Bolu, Kocaeli, Muğla, Sinop, Bartın, Karabük, Bursa, Kastamonu, Sakarya, Zonguldak, Yalova, and Düzce were issued a yellow code warning, while Aydın, İzmir, Balıkesir, and Manisa were issued an orange code warning.

AIR TEMPERATURES WILL DROP BY 3 TO 5 DEGREES

It is estimated that air temperatures will decrease by 3 to 5 degrees in the western parts, increase in the inner and northern parts, and will not change significantly in other places, while remaining above seasonal norms across the country.

The region is expected to be mostly cloudy with intermittent showers and thunderstorms. Precipitation is expected to be locally heavy in the surroundings of Yalova, Kocaeli, and Sakarya.
