MHP Chairman Bahçeli's statement on 'framework law': We have no time to lose
Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) Chairman Devlet Bahçeli issued a written statement following the adoption of the Law on Strengthening National Solidarity and Social Integration.

Bahçeli stated that the regulation is a result of Turkey's experience in counter-terrorism, the sacrifices of martyrs and veterans, and the capacity reached in the national defense industry.
“THE GOAL OF A TERROR-FREE TURKEY HAS GAINED A LEGAL BASIS”
Bahçeli expressed that with the adoption of the law, the goal of a “Terror-Free Turkey” has gained a legal basis.
The MHP leader emphasized that the primary goal in the upcoming process is to end the de facto existence of the terrorist organization, ensure the surrender of weapons and ammunition, and have state institutions verify that the organization's command and control capabilities have been eliminated.
“TURKEY’S UNITARY STRUCTURE CANNOT BE A SUBJECT OF NEGOTIATION”
In his statement, Bahçeli also drew attention to Turkey’s unitary structure.
He stated that the Republic of Turkey’s understanding of national sovereignty, the indivisible integrity of the homeland and the nation, and the Turkish nation’s shared history and vision for the future cannot be made a subject of any negotiation.
“THE RE-EMERGENCE OF TERROR MUST NOT BE PERMITTED”
Bahçeli stated that the fight against terrorism is not limited to neutralizing armed elements.
Stating that the political, sociological, and geopolitical grounds where terrorism could re-emerge must also be eliminated, Bahçeli said that one must be careful against ethnic and sectarian differences being turned into elements of conflict.
DREW ATTENTION TO CONFLICTS IN THE MIDDLE EAST
Bahçeli also touched upon the conflict process that began with Israel and the US's attacks on Iran and expanded with Iran's counter-moves in the region.
Stating that developments in the region threaten stability in a wide area ranging from energy supply to global trade, Bahçeli drew attention to the risk of conflicts spreading to new countries and fronts.
“TURKEY MUST CLOSE THE GAPS ON ITS INTERNAL FRONT”
Bahçeli expressed that it is of vital importance for Turkey to strengthen its internal security in the face of developments in the region.
He stated that the goal of a “Terror-Free Turkey” aims to eliminate an important geopolitical intervention tool that has been used against Turkey for nearly half a century.
“THE SACRIFICE OF OUR MARTYRS AND VETERANS MUST NOT BE FORGOTTEN”
Placing special emphasis on the sacrifices of martyrs and veterans in his statement, Bahçeli said that the struggle waged for years by security forces and the nation has been decisive in Turkey reaching a power today that can relegate terrorism to history.
Bahçeli expressed that the complete liquidation of terrorism would be the clearest indicator that the struggle of the martyrs and veterans has not been in vain.
“WE HAVE NO TIME TO LOSE”
MHP Chairman Bahçeli stated that the adoption of the law is not an end, but the beginning of a new process. Emphasizing that legal and administrative processes must be implemented as soon as possible, Bahçeli delivered the message: “We have no time to lose.”
Stating that there should be no gap in authority and coordination between institutions, Bahçeli expressed that the process should not be allowed to be exploited through various political discourses.

Bahçeli stated that Turkey’s next goal, after the complete elimination of terrorism, is to accelerate economic and social development.
Expressing that regions affected by terrorism should be provided with investment, production, industry, agriculture, tourism, education, and employment opportunities, Bahçeli said that the bond between the state and the citizen must be further strengthened.
“BURYING TERROR INTO HISTORY WILL BE THE REGISTRATION OF NATIONAL UNITY”
At the end of his statement, Bahçeli emphasized that the goal of a Terror-Free Turkey holds strategic importance for Turkey’s future.
The MHP leader commemorated the martyrs with mercy and gratitude, and offered his respect and thanks to the veterans. Bahçeli expressed his wish that the goal of a Terror-Free Turkey brings auspicious results for Turkey, the Turkish nation, and the peace and stability of the region.
