MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli attended an iftar program organized by the Ülkü Ocakları Education and Culture Foundation. Speaking at the program, Bahçeli said, "The Ülkü Ocakları is the source of action and thought for Turkish pride and consciousness, and for Islamic morality and virtue; it is a school of virtue and merit for the spirit of 'I’la-yı Kelimetullah' (exalting the word of God) with the ideal of 'Kızılelma' (Red Apple). "We have an abundance of scholars and sages to be envied"

Bahçeli said, "If the gems of our civilization and national history, which have been pushed underground, are carefully distinguished and interpreted, it will be seen that we have an abundance of scholars and sages to be envied. In the 16th century, while the West was struggling in the midst of social, political, religious, and ideological conflicts, mathematics was being taught at the medical school established in the Süleymaniye Complex, and the intricacies of human physiology and science were being taught. It is said that Copernicus, along with the Ptolemaic system, destroyed the Christian worldview of the universe that was settled in accordance with that system. Again, as Cemil Meriç said, for an intellectual, honor is not resistance to the absurd, but surrender to the truth. This surrender is a noble and honorable surrender. The peak of reason is truth, and the peak of justice is fairness. Climbing these peaks and reading the world in Turkish at these peaks should be your most fundamental ideal. Leaving aside the words that replace meaning, and putting aside empty slogans, do not forget that the melting of the idealist in their ideal is possible by locking onto high goals. So what is this nature of things? What should be understood from this? The nature of things is formed within the relationships of humans with society, environment, and nature. The unity of value-fact and ideal-reality constitutes the nature of things. Law is the necessary relationships arising from the nature of things. In short, we can say that the nature of things is the essence of institutions," he said.

"Powerless justice is helpless, and justice-less power is tyranny"

"Look at the world, interpret the miserable state of humanity and the hot developments; you will realize that whatever is contrary to the nature of things is in circulation. The questions we must seek answers to, which are inherent in this, are: Where is justice? Where has reason gone? What has happened to morality? Kant says, 'If there is no justice, there will be no value in humans living on earth.' Should we look for justice with a lantern in our hands in broad daylight? Should we question the principles and foundations of morality? Powerless justice is helpless, and justice-less power is tyranny. Connecting justice with power should be the goal of people of ideas, thought, and politics. The most important deficiency of our current age is the frustrating weakness and damage in human values and heritage. For this reason, it is necessary to possess the prudence, courage, and public spirit to intervene in the age and time."

Stating that Iran's retaliation for the US-Israel joint attacks targeted US bases in different countries, Bahçeli said, "Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Bahrain, and partly Qatar remained in the fire. I evaluate the military operations carried out in coordination between the US and Israel without waiting for the result of the negotiations conducted with Iran as unjust, unlawful, and open to widespread threats. The place is in blood and gore. Chain wars must stop immediately, and common sense must come to the fore. Fighting while there is peace means dynamiting the regional and global system," he said.

"Peace, not war, must prevail"

Emphasizing that peace, not war, should prevail in the geography, Bahçeli said, "I warn you; the bombing of Tehran, Isfahan, Qom, and Karaj; and consequently, the giving of retaliatory responses, could rapidly turn into a global war. Peace, not war, must prevail. It is an unacceptable situation for Islamic lands to be plunged into darkness during the holy month of Ramadan. I believe that the so-called developed countries and their subcontractors, who have no mercy, do not empathize, are focused on their own interests, have targeted the innocent, and have made killing, burning, destroying, and breaking things a normal occurrence, will be held accountable in both worlds. The Israeli Defense Minister's claim that they launched a 'preventive strike' and the US President's statement that 'we have launched a major operation against Iran' are the product of the same mind and the result of the same purpose," he said.
