MHP Deputy Chairman Durmaz's statement on the 'process': No steps will be taken

Meeting with citizens in Van as part of the "National Unity and Solidarity Gatherings for a Terror-Free Türkiye," MHP Deputy Chairman Sadir Durmaz said, "As the Nationalist Movement Party, we see eradicating terrorism and making peace and security permanent in these lands as the greatest debt and responsibility toward the Turkish nation. There is no negotiation with a terrorist organization or any concession given to terrorism anywhere in the goal of a terror-free Türkiye."

A meeting was held in Van with the participation of 9 provinces as part of the gatherings organized by the MHP under the title 'Terror-Free Türkiye'. 

MHP Deputy Chairman Sadir Durmaz said the following in his speech:

"Türkiye has been struggling with the scourge of terrorism for nearly 50 years. This long and painful process has not only been a security issue but also a multi-dimensional destruction targeting our nation's lives, property, peace, and hope. Due to the bloody attacks of terrorist organizations, tens of thousands of our children have fallen as martyrs, homes have been extinguished, and the tears of mothers have not ceased.

Our soldiers, police, village guards, and civilian citizens have lost their lives for this cause; unspeakable pain has been etched into the heart of our nation. Our material losses are as great as our spiritual losses. Destroyed villages, devastated cities, and stalled investments have been reflected as trillions of dollars in losses to our economy.

The resources our country would have spent on the path to development have had to be diverted to the fight against terrorism. However, despite all these heavy costs, the Turkish nation has never wavered and has shown the whole world that there is no place for division, separation, or fratricide in these lands, with the will to keep its thousand-year brotherhood alive.

"NO STEPS HAVE BEEN OR WILL BE TAKEN"

As the Nationalist Movement Party, we see eradicating terrorism and making peace and security permanent in these lands as the greatest debt and responsibility toward the Turkish nation.

There is no negotiation with a terrorist organization or any concession given to terrorism anywhere in the goal of a terror-free Türkiye. No steps that would hurt our martyrs, veterans, and their families have been or will be taken.

There is nothing hidden from our nation. There is no discussion whatsoever regarding the first four articles of the Constitution, or Articles 42 and 66. As our Chairman Mr. Devlet Bahçeli has stated; 'regardless of their origin, sect, region, or mother tongue, everyone who is bound to the Republic of Türkiye by the bond of citizenship is one and equal before the law'. The Republic of Türkiye is the state of us all. Our memory is one, our pain is one, our morality is one, our prayer is one, and our future will also be one."
