Speaking on behalf of the Nationalist Movement Party Group regarding the Draft Law on Amendments to Certain Laws and Decree-Law No. 375 at the TBMM, MHP Kayseri Deputy Baki Ersoy stated that the call made by MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli regarding citizens receiving retirement pensions would meet expectations, saying: "As our Chairman has also expressed in our party's last two group meetings; it is an important social responsibility that our citizens receiving the lowest retirement pensions are not condemned to a starvation wage and are brought to a level where they can live humanely.
It is our collective responsibility to improve the living conditions of our retirees who have served, produced, and added value to our country for years. In line with the resources of our state and economic realities, we have no doubt that the necessary arrangements will be made following the sensitive calls of our Chairman on this issue. We believe that the steps to be taken will both increase the welfare of our retirees and strengthen social balance," he said.
Touching upon drugs, a festering wound of society, Ersoy said: "The fact that the age of drug and stimulant use has dropped to childhood levels clearly shows that not only today but our future is also directly under threat. Remaining silent in the face of this grave picture means abandoning the future of our generations to darkness.
As our leader Devlet Bahçeli has also expressed with determination, the implementation of a national moral reform is now an unavoidable necessity. This reform, which will be prepared without delay and implemented uncompromisingly, will be the fundamental pillar of our social resilience. Because national morality is the prescription for the nation's salvation; moving away from it means losing the national spirit. We cannot risk our future. We can never leave our children to the mercy of drug dealers, low-life pushers, and this dark order," he stated.
MHP Kayseri Deputy Baki Ersoy continued his speech: "The heinous attack carried out against our glorious Turkish flag in Nusaybin recently by an ignorant scoundrel with a breadless and rootless mentality is an arrogance and an open act of treachery that can never be accepted by the Great Turkish Nation. The fate of those who attempt treason on these lands is written on every page of history.
The flag is the honor, dignity, and independence of a nation. Only those devoid of these values would reach out to a flag. The Turkish flag is the strongest symbol of our nation's unity and solidarity. Every hand reaching out to it is a hand reached out to every member of the Turkish nation. At a time when the goal of a 'Terror-Free Turkey' is being implemented step by step in our country and region, and the whole world is watching this closely; those responsible for this provocation carried out at our borders will definitely be held accountable, are being held accountable, and will continue to be held accountable. The Turkish Nation is aware of everything," he said.
