In a statement regarding Akçay's illness, journalist Saymaz said, "There was tension in the MHP yesterday, where Erkan Akçay was also present.
His blood pressure rose today and he was taken to the hospital.
As a result of this situation, it was discovered that he has a cyst in his brain. He has been taken under treatment at the hospital. His consciousness is currently clear," he said.
