MHP's Kayrıcı shares photo with Alaattin Çakıcı and Selahattin Yılmaz: Notes it as a 'gathering of friends'

MHP Çorum Deputy and Deputy Secretary General Vahit Kayrıcı shared a photo of himself with Alaaddin Çakıcı, a prominent figure in the organized crime world, and Selahattin Yılmaz, who was arrested on allegations of "preparing an assassination" against Aziz İhsan Aktaş, a person who benefited from effective remorse in the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (İBB) investigation. Kayrıcı captioned the post, "Gathering of friends."

In an operation conducted in 5 provinces centered in Istanbul, 10 people, including Selahattin Yılmaz, who was detained on allegations of "preparing an assassination" against Aziz İhsan Aktaş—who benefited from effective remorse in the İBB investigation—as well as lawyers Cem Duman and Semra Ilık, were arrested on charges of "being a member of an armed criminal organization," "establishing an organization for the purpose of committing crimes," and "providing benefits for a job for which one is not authorized."

MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli had previously defended Selahattin Yılmaz, referring to him as his "fellow idealist" and "comrade in the cause," stating, "Özgür Özel's attempt to portray the name Selahattin Yılmaz as a 'hired killer and assassin' in his speech in Aydın, and his attempt to speculate on our party, is the result of a shameful and base language."

A post of support for Yılmaz also came from Kayrıcı. It was noted that Çakıcı was also present in the photo Kayrıcı shared with Yılmaz.
