MHP official issues threatening remarks toward CHP leader Özel: 'It is only a matter of time before we put him in his place'

MHP's Doğan issued a harsh statement in response to CHP leader Özel's remarks about Bahçeli, in which he said, "We are not among those politicians who flip 180 degrees. Today, Devlet Bahçeli is such a politician."

Doğan stated, "Those who act with insolence under the guise of politics will inevitably face the bitter consequences of the sentences they have uttered."

CHP leader Özgür Özel criticized MHP leader Devlet Bahçeli with the following remarks:

"I am not a politician who will change direction 180 degrees just because someone presses a button. Instead of doing that, I would quit politics; instead of doing that, I would give up everything, but I will not give up on what I know to be right. We are not among those politicians who are controlled, who flip 180 degrees when a button is pressed. Today, Devlet Bahçeli is such a politician."

THREATENING WORDS FROM MHP OFFICIAL

MHP Ankara Provincial Chair Alparslan Doğan addressed CHP leader Özgür Özel in a response published on social media, saying, "It is only a matter of time for us to put those who overstep their bounds in their place. Those who act with insolence under the guise of politics will inevitably face the bitter consequences of the sentences they have uttered."

"Ö. Özel, whether he likes it or not, is the name of the Turkish state mind in the 21st century: Our Wise Leader, our Chairman, Mr. Devlet Bahçeli.

If there is a will, a line, and a stance in Turkish politics that has spanned over forty years, it is the stance of our Chairman, Mr. Devlet Bahçeli, who walks not with electoral concerns, but with a love for the nation.

The delusions that Özgür Özel uttered on a television channel today have neither a political equivalent nor a place in the conscience of the nation. If Mr. Özgür is looking for politicians whose direction is determined by a joystick, he should first look at his own past and the lanes his party has been drifting into for years.

What Mr. Devlet Bahçeli said yesterday is the same as what he says today. For a mentality that is uncomfortable even with the terrorist organization laying down its arms to cast aspersions on a wise leader who represents the state mind is a declaration not only of its desperation but also of its exhaustion."

"IT IS A MATTER OF TIME TO PUT HIM IN HIS PLACE"

The MHP Ankara Provincial Chair continued his remarks as follows:

"The People's Alliance, shaped by the call of our Wise Leader, is the very embodiment of the determination to cleanse Turkey of terrorism. Every word and every action targeting this stance means targeting the unity of the Turkish nation. Özgür Özel should know that the person he is casting aspersions on is the steel will of this nation.

As for Mr. Özgür, this person, whose will is mortgaged and whose position is entrusted, has clearly received a new instruction from the power centers that keep him in his seat, but no matter how much he struggles, the place he will end up is only the dustbin of history.

I advise this caretaker, who has the audacity to cast aspersions on our Wise Leader, to come to his senses. I want it to be known that it is only a matter of time for us to put those who overstep their bounds in their place. Those who act with insolence under the guise of politics will inevitably face the bitter consequences of the sentences they have uttered."
