CHP Chairman Özgür Özel issued a call for the rallies his party will organize for the minimum wage during a broadcast he attended on Halk TV.
Özel stated, "We invite everyone to the rallies we will hold. If one million of us take to the streets, the regime will change. It is time to take to the streets and claim our rights."
RESPONSE FROM MHP
Following Özel's remarks, a notable response came from MHP Secretary General İsmet Büyükataman.
Büyükataman replied to Özel on his social media account as follows:
"These expressions used by Özgür Özel are the voice of foreign capitals that have suffered defeat in the face of the People's Alliance and the national will.
Özgür Özel has taken on the role of a parrot for coup plotters who want to place a mortgage on the national will. CHP and Özgür Özel have come to the same line as the enemies of the Republic in the pit of humiliation they have fallen into.
It has once again been revealed that the CHP is at odds with our Republic. We warn Özgür Özel; the Republic of Turkey was not found on the street and will not bow to externally controlled street threats."
