MHP's Yönter targets CHP leader Özgür Özel: 'Until yesterday, you were with the PKK...'

Discussions continue regarding the new resolution process, which began with the calls made by Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) Chairman Devlet Bahçeli and continued with the meeting between the DEM Party and terrorist leader Abdullah Öcalan, followed by visits to the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM).

MHP Deputy Chairman İzzet Ulvi Yönter visited his party's district headquarters in Üsküdar and Kadıköy.

Speaking at a meeting held in Üsküdar as part of the MHP's first-district visits, Yönter said that they would continue to go neighborhood by neighborhood in Üsküdar and visit homes.

"WE WILL EXPLAIN THE GOALS OF THE PEOPLE'S ALLIANCE"

Yönter said, ''We will meet with our citizens, we will talk. We will certainly reach an understanding. We will convey the MHP's messages and explain the future goals of the People's Alliance. We will express our opinions regarding the games being played over Turkey. We will enlighten our citizens, our brothers, or our fellow party members who have questions in their minds about the work currently being done and the political steps being taken."

Emphasizing that the Istanbul provincial organization is working in unity and solidarity, Yönter said, "In Istanbul, the world's largest Turkish city, the window of Turkism opening to the world, we are obligated to do our best to achieve the goals we have set for our politics, and we are doing so."

"ALMOST A YEAR OF ÜSKÜDAR HAS BEEN LOST"

Reminding that the CHP won municipalities in many districts, including Üsküdar, in the March 31 elections, Yönter said, "Well, has a single stone been laid on top of another in Üsküdar so far? You live here, you see it. The People's Alliance does not make excuses. The People's Alliance considers service a debt of honor, a debt of dignity, and does what is necessary. However, unfortunately, almost a year of Üsküdar has been lost. That one year almost corresponds to ten years. Istanbul is going backward."

TARGETED THE CHP: YOU WERE THE EQUIVALENT OF THE PKK

Recalling the CHP's meeting with the DEM Party delegation in Parliament, Yönter said, "You know the DEM delegation held a meeting with Imralı. Özgür Özel said, 'We will not be involved in anything that would hurt the martyrs and veterans.' This movement (MHP) is a caravan of martyrs and veterans; what are you telling us? Until yesterday, you were walking in the same ranks as the PKK. You were singing songs of brotherhood to each other in the cave. Why, you were almost the equivalent of the PKK. You don't know the martyr, the fallen, or the veteran; you cannot distinguish the infidel. Our hope is that the CHP will not do anything else after not casting a shadow. We will protect the rights of the martyr, the fallen, and the veteran to the end."

Arguing that their goal is to make Turkey a paradise on earth where people live safely, peacefully, and in harmony from east to west, north to south, Yönter said, "Should we carry martyrs' coffins on our shoulders? Should mothers cry? Should tears be shed? Should homes be darkened, and should Turks and Kurds clash with each other? Is this what they want? We have merged, we will not separate. We are one and together, we are brothers. For a thousand years, we have given spirit to the same nation, we have given it a name. And we have called that name the Turkish nation."

Noting that the YPG, PYD, and PKK will not be able to hold on in Syria, and that they will either bury their weapons or agree to be buried themselves, Yönter assessed, "They have no other options. This business will either end or it will end. There is no middle ground left. We will not live with terror. The doors of a century that will pass in peace have been opened. Let everyone be ready for this. When we say peace, we are not talking about bowing down or making concessions. When we say peace, we are thinking of the welfare, stability, unity, and future of our people."

KADIKÖY VISIT

Subsequently visiting his party's Kadıköy District Headquarters, Yönter stated that the MHP is showing an upward trend in Kadıköy and said, "Our party is working in Kadıköy. We are doing what is necessary. Steps are being taken in accordance with the nature of the People's Alliance. We will change the ill-fated destiny of Kadıköy."

Expressing that Kadıköy must be saved from being "someone's backyard," Yönter said, "Kadıköy is no one's family farm. This era must change. The mentality of 'we could get a log elected if we put it up' must be buried in the ground in Kadıköy."

In his speech, Yönter also pointed to the fight against terrorism, saying, "Our goal is to eradicate terrorism at its root. Either those bloody weapons will be buried, or the hands carrying those weapons will be buried. There is no other way."

Stating that the fight against terrorist elements in Syria will continue, Yönter said, "We will crush the head of the one whose tail we crushed in the west of the Euphrates in the east."

Touching upon Turkey's goals to increase its economic potential, Yönter pointed out that income inequality needs to be corrected.

Yönter said, "Wouldn't it be better if we used the money we spend on fighting terrorism for prosperity instead? Wouldn't it be better if we built factories? Wouldn't it be better if we built roads? Wouldn't it be better if we gave a raise to our retirees? This is what we want. We will end terrorism. We will all witness the eradication of this scourge that takes both our lives and empties our wallets, purses, and treasuries."
