MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli underwent heart valve surgery in Gebze on February 4, 2025. Discharged on February 14 after completing his treatment, Bahçeli began a recovery period in Ankara.
MHP sources stated, "Mr. Devlet Bahçeli's health is good. Due to the surgery, he will conduct his work from home for a short period. He will continue his duties at the party headquarters very soon."

MHP Secretary General İsmet Büyükataman said in a statement on his X account, "Thank God, our Chairman's health is extremely good. Our leader, Mr. Devlet Bahçeli, is currently in his planned rest period and continues his work."
Büyükataman added the following:
"It has been observed that for some time, systematic and intentional speculation has been made regarding the health status of our Chairman, Mr. Devlet Bahçeli, by certain faceless circles, especially on social media. Our Chairman, Mr. Devlet Bahçeli, has undergone a successful, pre-planned operation and has been discharged from the hospital."
