The Draft Law on Amendments to the Law on the Execution of Penal and Security Measures and Certain Other Laws, which includes new execution regulations and was submitted to the Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM), was announced by AKP Group Chairman Abdullah Güler at a press conference.
Regarding the matter, MHP Deputy Chairman Feti Yıldız made the following statement on his social media account:
"The regulation regarding the execution of sentences, a portion of which was deferred to September-October for detailed research, has been submitted to the Gazi Parliament; may it be auspicious. As stated in the rationale of the law, the primary objective in execution law is to remove convicted offenders from society for a period determined by the length of their sentence, thereby protecting society against crime and criminals, preventing convicts from reoffending, encouraging their reintegration into society, and ensuring they become sensitive to the laws."
