MHP's Yönter says 'CHP should not be uncomfortable' and calls for sensitivity: 'It must be their goal'

Yönter visited the Ramadan tent set up by his party's Istanbul Provincial Presidency in Kağıthane and had iftar with party members.

Speaking to reporters after the iftar, Yönter wished everyone a happy Ramadan and said the tent would remain open until the end of the month.

Emphasizing that they want a peaceful Turkey, Yönter said, "We want a country where we live as one, together, and in brotherhood. This is our goal, and we will achieve it. We want a Turkey without terrorism. We want full stomachs, heads held high, and happy tomorrows. We want to live in a country and belong to a nation where no one is dependent on anyone else, and where everyone takes pride in and is honored by their belonging."

Stating, "We aim for our country to reach the summit in the Century of Turkey," Yönter added, "We are determined to solve the existing and well-known problems for this. We will overcome this with unity, solidarity, and brotherhood. We will succeed with determination. We will show our will and stance regarding a Turkey without terrorism in an uncompromising manner, and we will achieve results."

Yönter stated that while they demonstrate this stance, the terrorist organization must also lay down its arms immediately and unconditionally, adding, "It must comply with the February 27 Imrali call as soon as possible, convene its congress, and decide to dissolve the organization. There is no need for discordant voices. There may be those trying to muddy the waters, and there are. There are, unfortunately, certain circles that cannot digest Turkey's liberation from terrorism and are uncomfortable with it. Is there a possibility of provocation? Of course there is. We are careful about all of these. We are currently in a state of unity of purpose, unity of action, unity of power, unity of faith, unity of belief, and unity of goal to root out terrorism from our lives."

"OUR NATION IS GIVING TREMENDOUS SUPPORT TO THE GOAL OF A TURKEY WITHOUT TERRORISM"

Yönter emphasized that one should not pay attention to provocations and said the following:

"The Republican People's Party (CHP) must also show maximum care and sensitivity on this issue. They should not be uncomfortable with a Turkey without terrorism. A Turkey without terrorism means a peaceful Turkey. A peaceful Turkey must also be the goal of the Republican People's Party. A political understanding that feeds on chaos, crisis, turmoil, conflict, and polarization has nothing to contribute to our country or provide to our nation. As the People's Alliance, we are firmly committed to our goal. Hopefully, we will see good days soon. We will receive happy and hopeful news. There is no pessimism in us. We believe that we will reach a Turkey without terrorism in an environment where our Chairman has started this process in an uncompromising, firm, and capable manner, and where he asks for nothing in return, with nothing on his mind other than prioritizing his country and nation."

Stating that MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli also demonstrates the will to reach the goal of a Turkey without terrorism to the end, Yönter said that President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan also shows the same will.

Those discordant voices have no importance. No one is looking at what those cursed and ominous circles that engage in ethnic and sectarian incitement are saying. The Republic of Turkey will live forever, with God's permission, by remaining loyal to its founding principles and preserving the first four articles of the constitution. The legacy of the great Atatürk will not fall to the ground and will not be allowed to fall. The guarantor of this is the nationalist idealist movement. The guarantor of this is the People's Alliance. The guarantor of this is Devlet Bahçeli and Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. Beyond this, we invite everyone to join this mobilization of hearts and this spirit of national struggle," he said.
