'MHP deputy's card used in human smuggling' claim: New details emerge regarding the scandal

Tunahan Adıgüzel, the son of MHP Istanbul Provincial Board Member Güven Adıgüzel, who was identified as being involved in human smuggling, was arrested along with his accomplices on May 30.

Halk TV columnist İsmail Saymaz had previously shared audio recordings and interrogation transcripts regarding the human smuggling operation in his article titled “They smuggled people using vehicles with flashing lights” published yesterday.

MHP-LINKED SMUGGLERS WERE SMUGGLING AN HDP PARTY ASSEMBLY MEMBER

Saymaz wrote that one of the migrants whom Cihanay Adıgüzel and his 3 accomplices helped board a Greek boat on May 28 was Hazal Karabey, an HDP Party Assembly member who is being tried for PKK membership, and that Adıgüzel was caught in Balıkesir after retrieving a suitcase loaded with approximately 12 kilograms of drugs from the aforementioned boat.

14 THOUSAND EUROS LEFT AT THE BUILDING HOUSING THE MHP ISTANBUL ORGANIZATION

It was revealed in the audio recordings that 14 thousand euros obtained from the smuggling operation were left with a security guard at the building where the MHP Istanbul Provincial Organization is also located.

'NAFİZ ABİ' MENTIONED IN THE RECORDINGS TURNS OUT TO BE THE MHP DEPUTY'S BROTHER

In the recordings, Cihanay Adıgüzel tells his father, Güven Adıgüzel, that 5 thousand euros of the 14 thousand euros would be given to a person named 'Nafiz abi'.

In his article today, Saymaz shared new details he obtained regarding the human smuggling operation.

It was revealed that the person named Nafiz mentioned in the recordings is Nafiz Küçük, the brother of MHP Gümüşhane Deputy Musa Küçük. It was also learned that Nafiz Küçük is a member of the MHP Istanbul Provincial Board.

NAFİZ KÜÇÜK WAS USING HIS DEPUTY BROTHER'S CARD

It was revealed that Nafiz Küçük used his brother Musa Küçük's card in the BMW vehicle with flashing lights that was allegedly used in the human smuggling operation.

Saymaz included his interviews with Nafiz Küçük, Musa Küçük, and Güven Adıgüzel in his column.

MUSA KÜÇÜK: BUT WE HEARD HE WAS TRYING TO SAVE HIS CHILDREN

Regarding the allegation, Musa Küçük said, “I don't believe it could be my brother. It's impossible. The recordings, everything will come to light. There is no money exchange, but he and Güven Adıgüzel were administrators together in the party for many years. I don't think Adıgüzel would be involved in these things. But we heard he was trying to save his children.”

NAFİZ KÜÇÜK: NO, THERE IS NO SUCH THING. I DID NOT RECEIVE ANY MONEY

Nafiz Küçük also denied the allegation that he received 5 thousand euros and claimed that he did not go to Çanakkale on May 28. Nafiz Küçük stated, “No, there is no such thing. I didn't receive any money. He just blathered some things like that on the phone to those who were demanding money and threatening him, in order to get us behind him.”

GÜVEN ADIGÜZEL: IT'S ALL A SETUP. THE ORGANIZATION STAGED THIS

Güven Adıgüzel, on the other hand, contradicted Nafiz Küçük, who said “I didn't go to Çanakkale”; he claims that when his son Tunahan and his friends were detained that day, they went to Çanakkale in the vehicle belonging to Nafiz Küçük, which contained the deputy's card. Regarding the 14 thousand euros and the parliamentary vehicle allegation, Güven Adıgüzel said, “It's all a setup. The organization staged this.” Güven Adıgüzel stated that his son in Greece was being used due to his own political identity.

The person speaking is Cihanay Adıgüzel, who sought asylum in Athens.

Adıgüzel is talking to his father, Güven.

He says that 14 thousand euros were left at an address. Stating that 5 thousand euros of this money should be given to the person named 'Nafiz abi', he says:

“If you want, take it all with you, father, let it stay with you. You will give 5 thousand euros to Nafiz abi, the rest is ours.”

Cihanay Adıgüzel says to his father, “Are you leaving immediately? That would be very good, father.”

He is referring to picking up and bringing the passenger who will get off the boat coming from Greece.

After his father sets off, Adıgüzel calls his brother Tunahan.

The dialogue between them is as follows:

Cihanay: What did you do?

Tunahan: Good, have father and the others left?

Cihanay: Father and the others are leaving now.

Tunahan: They will make it then.

Cihanay: Do you think they will make it? Can't they make it in three-four hours?

Tunahan: It looks like they will make it. If they step on it, they will make it.

Cihanay: They are coming with that, with our parliamentary vehicle, the boss's flashing lights and all, how can they not make it, brother? They will make it one way or another. The boat is coming at 7.30-8 anyway.

Cihanay Adıgüzel, mentioning that his father will pick up the passengers, continues as follows:

“Father is getting out to pick up the passenger, right? Get out with father, three cars, drop off the passengers. Let father take the thing, Nafiz abi, let him take the woman and the children.”
