Migration Management denies claims of 'mass migration from Iran'

The Presidency of Migration Management issued a written statement regarding claims of a “wave of migration from Iran to Turkey.” The agency stated that the information in question is baseless and reported that there has been no increase in the number of entries compared to before June 13, 2025.

The statement noted that Turkey has a surveillance network equipped with advanced physical security systems at all border gates and that uninterrupted control is maintained 24 hours a day, 7 days a week by security units. It was emphasized that entry and exit numbers are constantly monitored to ensure that any potential migration movements can be detected immediately.

'NO MIGRATION ACTIVITY DETECTED'

Referring to content that has spread rapidly on social media in recent days, the Migration Management made the following assessment:

“Entry and exit numbers at our border gates are being carefully monitored to observe any potential migration activity, and there is no such migration activity. It is observed that there has been no increase in the number of entries into our country from Iran compared to before June 13, 2025.”

At the end of its statement, the agency issued a warning to the public, including the following remarks:

“It is kindly requested that posts containing disinformation not be given credence and that only statements made by authorized bodies be taken into account.”
