Mine collapse in Siirt: 3 workers lose their lives
A mine collapse occurred in the Şirvan district of Siirt. Three of the workers trapped under the rubble have lost their lives. An investigation into the incident has been launched.

A collapse occurred for reasons yet to be determined at a private copper mine in the village of Maden in the Şirvan district.
Upon notification of the situation, gendarmerie, 112 Emergency Health, AFAD, and fire department teams were dispatched to the scene.
Rescue efforts were initiated to recover the workers trapped under the rubble.
STATEMENT FROM THE GOVERNOR OF SİİRT
Siirt Governor Kemal Kızılkaya stated in his announcement that the collapse in the mine occurred at approximately 01:25.
Kızılkaya said, "Five of our fellow workers were exposed to the collapse that occurred at the mine site in the Eti Bakır mining area. Two of our five brothers were rescued with minor injuries, but unfortunately, our other 3 brothers have passed away."
Stating that they are following the matter, Kızılkaya used the expression, "According to the information provided to us by our colleagues at this moment, the necessary additional precautions have been taken at the mine site, and there is no situation that poses any danger. I wish everyone a speedy recovery once again."
The injured were taken to Siirt Training and Research Hospital by ambulance.
3 PEOPLE TAKEN INTO CUSTODY
An investigation has been launched by the Siirt Chief Public Prosecutor's Office regarding the collapse at the mine. Within the scope of the investigation, individuals identified as Y.K., A.T., and D.A. have been taken into custody.
