Minimum wage in the TRNC set at 52,738 TL net

The new minimum wage in the TRNC has been determined. The Minimum Wage Determination Commission met for thethird time to set the first minimum wage for the year2026. The meeting took placein
the capital, Nicosia. The meeting, which began at 1:30 PM in the Ministry of Labor and Social Security Conference Hall, was chaired by TRNC Minister of Labor and Social Security Oğuzhan Hasipoğlu. The meeting was attended by laborrepresenting the employeeside, the Hür LaborUnion Federation (Hür-İş) delegation led by President Ahmet Serdaroğlu, and representing the employer side, the Cyprus TTurkish The delegation led by Employers' Union Representative Cengiz Alp attended.
Following the meeting, anannouncement was made by Minister Hasipoğlu, stating that the minimum wage was determined by majorityvote as a recommendation and that the decision would be forwarded to the Council of Ministers. Hasipoğlu said.stated that the determined minimum wage is 349.71 TL per hour, 2,797.75 TL per day, and13,988.76 TL per week, with a net monthly salary of 52,738 TL and a grossamount of 60,618 TLheannounced.
