Minister announces discounted travel starts tonight
As part of the Year of Retirees, Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu announced that a 10 percent discount on train travel for retirees will begin at midnight tonight.

Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu announced that, within the scope of the 2024 Year of Retirees, retirees will travel with a 10 percent discount on ministry-operated trains.
"We are launching a 10 percent discount application on our high-speed, main line, and regional trains to ensure our retirees can travel economically, comfortably, and conveniently," said Minister Uraloğlu, adding that necessary measures have been taken to meet the increased passenger demand due to the upcoming Ramadan Feast.

To benefit from the 10 percent discount, which will begin to be applied for retirees starting from midnight tonight, it will be sufficient to present a document showing retirement status obtained via e-Devlet or from an official institution.
The discount in question covers all retirees and will be valid throughout the year.
