Energy and Natural Resources Minister Alparslan Bayraktar has responded to claims that Iran has cut off gas flow to Turkey.

According to a Bloomberg report, it was written that Iran halted gas exports to Turkey last week following Israel's attack on the South Pars gas field.

According to data compiled by the Turkish Natural Gas Distributors Association (GAZBİR), Turkey met approximately 14 percent of its gas needs from Iran last year.

Sources speaking to Bloomberg claimed that Turkey continues to import gas from its main suppliers, Russia and Azerbaijan, and has sufficient stocks.

Minister Bayraktar, regarding the claim in question, stated, "There is no such thing. There is no problem with natural gas supply. Storage facilities are 71 percent full."
