Responding to questions from journalist Mehmet Akif Ersoy on Habertürk TV, Minister Bayraktar made the following statement regarding natural gas bills:

"As the state, we cover 60 percent of the bills our citizens pay for electricity and natural gas. We aim to continue this in the coming period as well. Of course, this is a matter of resources. Here, we want to implement support based on consumption and transition to a support model where those who consume more bear the cost."

Answering a question about the new period in billing, Bayraktar said, "It is important to define the support groups correctly here. We aim to transition to cost-based pricing. It would be more appropriate to share this with the public after the work is completed. We are trying to avoid mistakes by taking exceptions into account," he said.

Bayraktar added, "One of the areas we are prioritizing in this process is also the fight against inflation. We are working while taking into account the inflationary impact of energy prices. To accelerate the decline of inflation, we want to carry out this process without price hikes as much as possible."
