Minister Fidan conveys the thoughts of true American nationalists on Israel: 'They think it is said Israel first, not America'
Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan stated that the US side is also beginning to realize that there is no aspect of US policies on Israel that can be defended in the name of humanity, adding, "The US is falling into the position of being an unconditional defender of a country that is currently trampling on every value it has declared to the world. This is, of course, a situation that tremendously lowers America's international prestige, and Americans who are clear-headed and truly American nationalists think that while they always say 'America first,' it is actually being said 'not America first, but Israel first'."

Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan answered questions on the Gündem Özel program on TGRT Haber. Stating that the Palestinian issue is a bleeding wound not only for Muslims but for the entire world, Minister Fidan said, "The Palestinian issue, the issue of the Jewish state, the issue of the occupation of Palestinian lands, and the ongoing matters are not like conflicts continuing anywhere else in the world.
There are human dramas, hunger, and conflict in other places as well, but we often do not see the desperation that humanity has fallen into regarding the Palestinian issue here. There may be indifference, but there is still a place where everyone is of the same opinion. The fact that the genocide is continuing is a point that needs to be thought about for a very long time, a point where the codes of the existing system must be questioned with both its software and hardware, and this is happening," he said.
Stating that Turkey has made great progress on the Palestinian issue under the leadership of President Erdoğan, Minister Fidan expressed that thanks to these efforts, the illusion regarding Israel's immunity has been shattered. Stating that there are now opposing views on the Palestinian issue in many countries, including European countries, Fidan noted that most countries had previously remained hesitant in this regard so as not to offend Israel. Expressing that the world wants the same thing for both Israel and Palestine, Fidan said that Israel uses the mask of security to obtain more land.
Drawing attention to the fact that the Palestinian issue did not emerge today and that its history dates back a long time, Fidan said, "After the Jewish genocide perpetrated by Hitler in the Second World War, the world was faced with a mechanism that turned the pain there into someone else's pain. We believe that the illusion created there and all the privileges stemming from it have now disappeared. Why is this important? We do not know how many more years this case will continue. But when we look at its past, we see that the Palestinian issue, the Arab lands, the Arab geography, and this geography will be occupied with these issues for many more years to come. Therefore, every step taken in this regard, even if it does not seem to be useful in solving the immediate problem today, will have a very serious effect in eliminating the problem and its components. That is why we say to our friends; 'We must continue to do our best in the international arena together with our partners without stopping,'" he said.
Underlining that Israel's pursuit of expansionism has become very clear and distinct, Fidan said that as countries in the region, they need to take very serious measures, but that the hunger in Gaza must be stopped immediately as a matter of urgency.
"TRUE AMERICAN NATIONALISTS THINK 'ISRAEL FIRST' IS BEING SAID"
Stating that the US side is also beginning to realize that there is no aspect of the policies the US implements for Israel that can be defended in the name of humanity, Minister Fidan pointed out that the US is no longer in a position of open defense, but that the US, which has the most leverage to stop Israel, is not using this power sufficiently. Fidan said, "The US is falling into the position of being an unconditional defender of a country that is currently trampling on every value it has declared to the world. This is, of course, a situation that tremendously lowers America's international prestige, and Americans who are clear-headed and truly American nationalists think that while they always say 'America first,' it is actually being said 'not America first, but Israel first.' It is clear that the political figures of the constructed political system in the country must unconditionally surrender to this ideology when they emerge," he said.
Fidan also underlined that the Netanyahu government is not in a position to recognize any humanitarian, moral, legal value or priority. Expressing that since the emergence of the systematic genocide, there has been a contact group consisting of a total of 7 countries, including Turkey, with the joint summit of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and the Arab League, Fidan stated that Arab countries are also making as much effort as Turkey.
"ISLAMIC COUNTRIES NEED TO USE THEIR INFLUENCE OVER AMERICA"
Touching upon the Extraordinary Meeting of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation held in Jeddah, Fidan said, "From now on, Islamic countries actually need to use their influence over America, not the pressure on Israel, so that something can be produced from there. In 1974, Saudi Arabia started to implement an oil embargo for this very reason, and the equation in the world suddenly changed. That was when certain economic regulations and political regulations were put back into effect in the region. These countries have done this in their past, they have tried it, they have fought for it, and they have paid the price for it," he said.
"IT IS A GREAT MISFORTUNE THAT THEY PRODUCE SEPARATIST LANGUAGE"
Expressing that the expansionist attitude displayed by Israel and the vision it has put forward regarding Syria have no acceptable side, Fidan said, "The structure we have put forward on this issue, which is more humane, more universal, and based on the peace and security of everyone, is extremely important. It is a great misfortune that certain groups inside see the operational pressure Israel has exerted in recent weeks as an opportunity for themselves and produce a separatist political language, and that models of creating a minority based on dependence on the outside instead of building the future of Syria together are evident. This does not bring peace to either the unitary structure or the separate structure here. The model that humanity has reached is clear. Turkey has shown that a world is possible where the citizenship system, which is recorded in our own constitution in our country, allows everyone to easily live and express their identity, personality, language, and beliefs, and where they are not measured or confronted with these when they have a commercial, economic, or bureaucratic position, or when they are looking for equal opportunity," he said.
Underlining that oppressive regimes emerged in the region after the dissolution of the Ottoman Empire, Fidan said that there is no need for the system that produces blood and tears to continue by putting forward old methods and procedures in modern times. Stating that Turkey has an ancient state tradition and is also a representative of this ancient civilization, Fidan pointed out that Turkey has a difficult past and memory, and will likely have a difficult future. Noting that Turkey does not have a civilization and state culture that is hostile to another group as long as it is not hostile to itself, Minister Fidan stated that President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has an incredible sensitivity, especially regarding national security issues.
"THE POLITICAL ATTITUDE PUT FORWARD BY TURKEY DOES NOT CARRY AN IMPERIAL INTENTION"
Minister Fidan stated that Turkey's strategy changed some time ago and said, "When a threat arises beyond our border, we do not wait for it to hit us here. We need to enter there beyond the border, but other countries are at least as honorable as we are. Other countries also have the right to exist on our border at least as much as we do. It is important for countries here, such as Iraq and Syria, to be self-sufficient, to establish order, and to be in prosperity; for the people to be peaceful, prosperous, satisfied, confident in each other, and able to express themselves. These are also possible situations. But if the dynamics created by both the recent past and current conditions do not give these peoples the opportunity to live this life for now; the opportunity and political leadership that Turkey possesses do not carry an imperial intention. It has the opportunity to bring the same peace to these peoples here as well," he assessed.
Stating that Turkey does not show hostility to anyone as long as no hostility is shown to Turkey, and that it does not categorically put anyone into the enemy class, Minister Fidan said that when hostility is shown to Turkey, it will not take a step back. Fidan emphasized that Turkey taking responsibility for the problems faced by the peoples of the region, especially the Kurds, Turkmens, and Arabs living beyond its borders, is both a historical responsibility and a duty required by the law of brotherhood.
"THERE ARE MANY KURDISH PARTIES IN SYRIA, THESE ARE FRIENDS OF TURKEY"
Expressing that many nuances are taken into account and observed in the functioning of the state and policies are developed accordingly, Fidan said, "Let's look at the Syrian example. There was a Kurdish National Coalition in Syria, there is not only the YPG in Syria. There are many Kurdish parties in Syria and these are friends of Turkey. They want to cooperate with Turkey. They came and talked to our friends just the other day. They say, 'We are turning our faces to Ankara. Let Ankara come and help us.' This is an important issue, the issue they expect from Ankara, the parameters that Ankara underlines. We support the activities of parties that are not a problem for anyone but do not remain alone with the problem themselves. Now we are saying the same thing to Damascus. When the administration came to power in Damascus after December 8, we came together with the countries of the region. We said let's put forward what we expect from Damascus. An administration came here, what do we expect from them? One, it will not be a threat to any country because it has tens of thousands of armed elements in its hands. There are military capabilities. Two, it will not cooperate with terrorist organizations. Three, it will not carry out massacres, arbitrary executions, or detentions against the people there. When it is an administration, it will be as inclusive as possible. We, the surrounding countries, Western countries, everyone sees all of this so far. This administration is doing its best in this regard. When some states and structures that have been lying in wait to take action after waiting for this administration to make a mistake see that there is no mistake here and that a certain vision is slowly continuing in cooperation with the regional and international community, this time they start to create problems themselves," he said.
"IT IS TRYING TO TAKE HOSTAGE"
Saying that Netanyahu is committing a genocide in Palestine and is trying every way to cover up this genocide, Fidan said, "He goes by telling us something else, he puts pressure on the French in another way, he puts pressure on the Australians in another way. Now he has developed a pressure mechanism with every country. He is trying to take them hostage through their own local politics by somehow activating the Zionist lobby in every country. Thank God, we have neither a character to be taken hostage through our local politics nor is there such a situation allowed anymore. That is why they base their intervention on this from the outside, through external actors. European actors are just like our situation years ago. When you activate certain mechanisms inside, the political leaderships there can be influenced and activated very quickly. Mechanisms constructed over many years come into play under very special conditions and moments," he said.
"THE HISTORICAL MADNESS NETANYAHU HAS PUT FORWARD IS THE SAME AS HITLER'S MADNESS"
Saying that not all Jews think the same way about the Palestinian issue, Fidan said, "Now, there is actually a very serious division within the world Jewish community here as well. That is, those Jews who are truly fair-minded, have a conscience, and are citizens of the world say themselves, 'This is genocide, we are innocent of these. We are not them.' They say these themselves. Therefore, this historical madness that Netanyahu and his friends have put forward is the same, a repetition of the similar madness, Hitler's madness, that they themselves condemned 60-70 years ago. Humanity will continue to remember this as genocide from now on. It will never call it good. But these people will also take other kinds of measures to create all kinds of extraordinary conditions and to put all kinds of evil on the market in order to make people forget this reality," he said.
Stating that he will provide information about the Palestinian issue in the Turkish Grand National Assembly tomorrow, Fidan said, "One is truly proud. All party groups in the Parliament are of one heart on the Palestinian issue. I have informed them before as well. Turkey can experience political division on many issues within itself. But when this issue is in question, there is a tremendous unity. This is something I am proud of as the Foreign Minister of this country," he said.
