Minister Fidan notifies new assignments for certain embassies and permanent representations

According to information obtained from diplomatic sources at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Minister Fidan has notified new assignments for certain embassies and permanent representations. With the new appointments, Ambassador Gülsun Erkul, Director General of Consular Affairs, has been appointed as Ambassador to Budapest; Ambassador İhsan Mustafa Yurdakul, Director General for Bilateral Relations (Syria), as Permanent Representative of the Republic of Türkiye to the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO); Consul General in Sao Paulo Özgür Uludüz as Ambassador to Luanda; Ambassador Nevzat Uyanık, Director General for Public Diplomacy and Strategic Communication, as Ambassador to Kuala Lumpur; Ambassador Ahmet Cemil Miroğlu, Director General of Protocol, as Ambassador to Riga; Envoy Barış Ceyhun Erciyes, Deputy Director General for Bilateral Relations (Balkans), as Ambassador to Tirana; Ambassador Korhan Karakoç, Director General for Humanitarian and Technical Assistance, as Ambassador to Stockholm; Ambassador Mustafa Türker Arı as Ambassador to Tbilisi; Mustafa Kibaroğlu as Permanent Representative of the Republic of Türkiye to the United Nations Office at Vienna; Ambassador Burak Özügergin, Director General for Bilateral Relations (Northeast Mediterranean), as Ambassador to Copenhagen; Mesut Özcan, Acting President of the Diplomacy Academy, as Ambassador to Phnom Penh; Ambassador Mehmet Cem Kahyaoğlu as Ambassador to Bissau; Envoy Özgür Arslan, Deputy Director General for Bilateral Relations (OIC and D-8), as Ambassador to Niamey; Envoy Dilşad Kırbaşlı Karaoğlu, Deputy Director General for Bilateral Relations (South and Western Europe), as Ambassador to Dakar; Ambassador to Kuala Lumpur Emir Salim Yüksel as Ambassador to Bogota; Zeynep Kalali, First Counselor at the Embassy in Lisbon, as Ambassador to Quito; Ambassador to Riga Şule Öztunç as Ambassador to San Salvador; Meltem Güney as Ambassador to La Paz; and Halime Ebru Demircan, Deputy Director General for Multilateral Relations (Council of Europe), as Ambassador to Antananarivo.
