Minister Fidan's statement on 'dissolution': We will be in a position to wait for this for a while longer

Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan made notable statements on regional and global issues, primarily a Turkey without terrorism, the genocide in Gaza, the new era in Syria, and the Pakistan-India conflicts.

Regarding the PKK's potential decision to dissolve, Fidan stated, "We will be in a position to wait for this for a while longer; everyone wants to be optimistic for the organization to respond to this historic call."

WHEN WILL THE PKK ANNOUNCE ITS DISSOLUTION DECISION?

Regarding the terrorist organization PKK's announcement of a dissolution decision, Fidan used the words, "We will be in a position to wait for this for a while longer; everyone wants to be optimistic for the organization to respond to this historic call."

TURKEY IS READY FOR EVERYTHING

Emphasizing that it is an "extraordinarily important issue," Minister Fidan evaluated the process with the words, "Turkey's struggle is clear. We will be in a position to wait to hear the organization's response to this historic call. Our expectation is that it will be positive, but we are prepared."

PKK'S PRESENCE IN SYRIA AND IRAQ

Underlining that Turkey wants to build a region where prosperity and freedom are shared, Fidan said, "It is clear that the organization has been used as a proxy element within the process. Our courage is intact; there is no situation where we would step back from any cause in which we are right. There is a slippery ground in Syria and Iraq. Turkey is truly pursuing a very constructive foreign policy to improve this slippery ground in general. We are approaching it very holistically. The PKK does not occupy even a square meter of land in Turkey; however, it keeps many places under occupation in Iraq, including Sinjar."

STABILITY IN SYRIA AND ISRAELI OCCUPATION IN THE REGION

Stating that territorial integrity is one of the issues Turkey attaches importance to for Syria, Minister Fidan said, "We also advocate that not only us, but the entire region should work together to take ownership of the problem in Syria and solve it together. This approach is a very noble approach. Our President also stands behind this approach to the end."

Drawing attention to the Druze-Israeli provocations in the region, Hakan Fidan stated, "Israel is creating a ground for provocation through the Druze. The return of Syria's fragile ground to instability would create a major problem. As Turkey, we will not remain a spectator to this."

ERDOĞAN-TRUMP MEETING

Regarding the phone call between President Erdoğan and US President Donald Trump, Fidan said, "The focus of the meeting was the Gaza issue. Many leaders want our President to draw attention to Gaza. Relations between Turkey and the US must be extraordinarily good."

ISRAEL'S GENOCIDE IN GAZA

Emphasizing the humanitarian crisis and genocide in Gaza, Hakan Fidan expressed, "There is a huge humanitarian catastrophe in Gaza. The fault line could break. If a common stance is developed, Israel can be stopped."

TURKEY'S EU MEMBERSHIP PROCESS AND THE CRISIS IN EUROPE

Drawing attention to the economic and diplomatic crises that began between the US and Europe after the Trump administration took office, Minister Fidan said, "The European Union is trying to reduce its dependence on US weapons. Germany and France do not have the will to accept Turkey regarding identity-related issues; they have the will not to accept. If the UK and Turkey were in the European Union, we could have created our own center of attraction in this geography. There would not be so much American dependency and drifting; both commercial, political, and security relations could have been conducted more comfortably."

PAKISTAN-INDIA CONFLICTS

Stating that the conflicts that started after India's attacks on Pakistan could trigger a nuclear war, Fidan said, "If two nuclear powers enter into an open war, a risk naturally arises. Our hope is that the tension does not escalate further."

WHEN WAS MINISTER FİDAN ASSASSINATED, AND WHO DID IT?

Announcing for the first time that he was assassinated 4-5 years ago, Minister Fidan said, "We were also physically subjected to an assassination attempt; we were poisoned and received treatment. We are constantly subjected to character assassination; it is part of this fight. I was given heavy arsenic and mercury. It happened somewhere, then it was revealed in the tests.
