Minister Göktaş announces: Child found hanging in Batman taken into custody

Minister of Family and Social Services Göktaş announced that 8-year-old Şeyma S., who was found hanging by her family in front of their home in the Kozluk district of Batman and was allegedly subjected to sexual abuse, has been transferred to a hospital for health checks under the Ministry's care.

In a statement on her social media account, Minister Göktaş said, "The decision of non-prosecution issued in the investigation launched regarding the sexual abuse allegations against our daughter Şeyma in the Kozluk district of Batman was lifted upon our Ministry's objection, and the investigation was reopened. As of today, our daughter Şeyma has been taken under the care of our Ministry and has been transferred to the hospital to undergo health checks."
