Minister Gürlek announces 'another dirty wheel has been smashed': Operation launched

Minister of Justice Akın Gürlek announced that simultaneous operations were carried out in 33 provinces under the coordination of the Eskişehir Chief Public Prosecutor's Office against illegal betting, qualified fraud, and money laundering crimes.

It was reported that 8.7 billion TL in criminal proceeds were identified within the scope of the operation.

Gürlek used the following expressions in his statement:

"The efforts carried out by our Ministries of Justice, Interior, and Treasury and Finance shoulder to shoulder and in full coordination continue to take the breath away from criminal hubs.

This strong will demonstrated by our institutions is our greatest support in our fight against crime.

With the simultaneous operation carried out in 33 of our provinces against illegal betting, qualified fraud, and money laundering crimes under the coordination of our Eskişehir Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, another dirty wheel that sucks the blood of our youth has been smashed.

Within the scope of this operation, where a massive criminal income of 8.7 billion TL was identified, the necessary judicial proceedings against all those responsible are being meticulously continued.

We will never allow any structure that targets the peace of our nation and our economy to pass.
