Minister of Justice Akın Gürlek, in a post on his social media account, said: "As a result of a comprehensive investigation conducted under the coordination of our Adana Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, simultaneous operations were carried out in Adana as the center, as well as in Istanbul, Izmir, Mersin, Tekirdağ, Şanlıurfa, Diyarbakır, and Eskişehir.

In the operations against the 'Bayğaralar' organized crime group, led by an individual sought with a red notice whose extradition we are awaiting from Greek authorities, 287 suspects were apprehended, who were determined to have been involved in a total of 52 separate crimes, including 2 murders.

The intercity and international connections of this structure, which targeted public peace with serious crimes such as intentional killing, injury, qualified robbery, kidnapping, and possession of weapons, have been uncovered, and a heavy blow has been dealt to the organization's structure. The fact that some of these crimes were committed through children driven to crime has once again revealed how dangerous and exploitation-oriented this organization is.

Our state will never allow criminal organizations to attempt to reorganize, and with the coordination of our judicial and law enforcement units, we will continue our fight without interruption until these structures are completely dismantled.

I would like to thank our Adana Chief Public Prosecutor's Office for coordinating this successful operation and the Adana Provincial Police Department for their dedicated work in the field."
