Minister Gürlek: The muhtar is the most fundamental pillar of the state

Minister of Justice Gürlek received the Mayor of Erdemli, Mersin, Mustafa Kara, and the district's muhtars at the Ministry, where he listened to their views and suggestions.

Expressing his pleasure in hosting the muhtars at the Ministry of Justice, Minister Gürlek emphasized the importance of the muhtars' duties, stating, "Muhtars listen to people's troubles. The muhtar is the most fundamental pillar of the state in that regard."

"We have regulated the e-Notification law"

Touching upon efforts to accelerate the judiciary, Minister Gürlek emphasized that work is ongoing to shorten processes. Upon questions from muhtars regarding long-running land registry property cases, Minister Gürlek recalled the e-Notification law. Stating that there are issues regarding notifications in these cases, Gürlek noted that they have established a unit concerning the prolongation of land registry cases and are monitoring the processes to expedite these delayed cases. Emphasizing the problems related to notifications, Minister Gürlek said, "There is a problem here regarding notifications. We have regulated the e-Notification law regarding that, and it has been enacted. Hopefully, with God's permission, these durations will shorten."

Regarding a question about expert witness practices, Minister Gürlek reminded that there are regulations on the subject, stating, "There are also regulations regarding expert witness testimony. It will come to Parliament in the 12th package."
