Minister Koca announces: Cancer-stricken children from Gaza to be brought to Turkey

Minister of Health Fahrettin Koca made statements regarding the humanitarian aid Turkey has sent to Gaza and the field hospital planned to be established in Egypt.

Minister Koca spoke by phone with the Israeli Minister of Health yesterday evening. The discussion addressed the field hospitals to be sent to Egypt for the treatment of the wounded from Gaza.

Stating that he spoke with the Israeli Minister of Health yesterday evening, Koca also underlined that he clearly expressed that all forms of violence are unacceptable.

"WE WILL BEGIN BRINGING THEM TO TURKEY"

Koca said, "I expressed the sensitivity regarding the children whose treatments cannot continue. We will begin bringing the cancer-stricken children to Turkey as soon as possible."

On the other hand, Koca stated that they will deliver approximately 500 tons of aid equipment, including medicine, medical devices, 8 field hospitals, 20 ambulances, and medical supplies, via a ship expected to depart today.

"OUR EFFORTS WERE NOT ENOUGH"

Reminding that a 20-person delegation consisting of ministry officials and expert doctors went to Egypt on Sunday, October 22, via a presidential plane to send medicine and medical supplies, Minister Koca said, "Despite our intense contacts, I cannot say that we have been able to implement the services we planned."

Underlining that they have been in coordination with the Egyptian Ministry of Health for the field hospitals since the first day, Minister Koca said, "Our efforts were not enough."
