Minister Koca announces: Plane carrying aid to Gaza to depart tomorrow

Health Minister Fahrettin Koca announced that aid would be sent to Gaza in a post on his social media account.

"DEPARTING FOR EGYPT TOMORROW"

In his post, Minister Koca stated, "A plane belonging to our Presidency is departing for Egypt tomorrow morning with medicine and medical supplies to provide aid to Gaza. The plane will carry a team of 20 specialist physicians. I have held the necessary discussions with Egyptian Health Minister Khaled Abdel Ghaffar. Our 20-person expert team will work with Egyptian authorities to identify the medicines, medical supplies, and equipment needed by the people of Gaza. Within the framework of the plans made with the Egyptian Ministry of Health, our team will also conduct feasibility studies for the field hospitals to be established at El-Arish Airport and the Rafah Border Crossing," he said.

SHIPMENTS TO BE SENT TO THE REGION

Minister Koca stated that they plan to send the medicines and similar aid items on the list of needs provided by the Egyptian Ministry of Health to El-Arish Airport via 3 cargo planes, adding, "Simultaneously with these activities, it is planned to send the medicines, medical consumables, and medical devices on the list of needs provided by the Egyptian Ministry of Health to El-Arish Airport with our 3 cargo planes. Furthermore, once the necessary coordination is completed, the shipment of field hospitals and ambulances to the region by ship is planned.

Our team, which will be conducting feasibility studies, is also planned to deliver the aforementioned medicines and medical consumables to the relevant authorities for distribution to the victims in Gaza. We have an effort that will bring relief to the hearts of all sensitive people in the world: to be the pioneers in getting aid through the Rafah crossing! The eyes of humanity are on the countries that can take action for Gaza. Our nation should know that everything possible is being done," he added.
