Minister Memişoğlu announces the number of 'amateur butchers' injured on the first day of the holiday
Minister of Health Kemal Memişoğlu announced that 14 thousand 372 people across Turkey applied to hospitals after being injured during the sacrifice ritual on the first day of Eid al-Adha.

In a post on his social media account, Minister Memişoğlu provided information about injuries that occurred during the slaughter on the first day of Eid al-Adha, stating, "On the first day of Eid al-Adha; a total of 14 thousand 372 people across our 81 provinces, including 1 thousand 49 in the capital Ankara, 753 in Istanbul, 655 in Konya, 634 in Gaziantep, and 572 in Manisa, have applied to our health facilities as a result of injuries sustained during the sacrifice slaughter.
We emphasize that the slaughter of sacrificial animals should be performed by professionals; we once again remind our citizens who have not yet slaughtered their animals to pay attention to this matter.
I wish a speedy recovery from God to our injured citizens," he said.
