Minister Akın Gürlek, who hosted the family of BBP founding Chairman Muhsin Yazıcıoğlu in his office, has recently intensified his contacts with the families of victims involved in suspicious deaths and unsolved cases that have left a mark on Turkey's recent history.

Uğur Mumcu Investigation: The wife of investigative journalist Uğur Mumcu, who lost his life in an assassination on January 24, 1993, Şükran Güldal Mumcu, and their son Özgür Mumcu were received, and the current status of the assassination file and new ongoing efforts were discussed.

Behçet Oktay Case: On August 6, the family of former Special Operations Department Head Behçet Oktay, who was found dead under suspicious circumstances in 2009, was received. During the meeting, Oktay's sister, Şule Oktay, "My brother wouldn't even stir tea with his right hand" she said, emphasizing that the presence of gunpowder residue on both hands in the forensic records was suspicious.
