As the war between Israel and Iran, which began on June 13, continues into its sixth day, Minister of National Defense Yaşar Güler has taken an important step. Minister Güler departed for the Başkale district of Van to inspect military units on the Turkey-Iran border.
According to information obtained, Minister Güler will conduct examinations and inspections at military units on the Iranian border.
WHAT HAPPENED?
On June 13, Israel launched comprehensive airstrikes against nuclear facilities and military command centers located in various cities across Iran. A large number of people, including the Iranian Chief of General Staff, high-ranking commanders of the Revolutionary Guards, and nine nuclear scientists, lost their lives in the attacks. The total civilian death toll announced by Iran was reported as 224.
In response to these attacks, Iran carried out ballistic missile strikes against Israel. It was reported that 24 people lost their lives and more than 500 people were injured in Iran's retaliation. Many countries, led by Turkey, condemned Israel's attacks and called for a de-escalation of tensions in the region.
