Minister of National Education Tekin complains about CHP to the business world: 'They continue to beat us up'
Speaking at a panel at the Palandöken Economic Forum held at a hotel in Erzurum, which was declared the "2025 Tourism Capital" by the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO), Tekin expressed his grievances and made a request to the business world.

Emphasizing that they will not stop by considering the point they have reached as sufficient, Tekin stated,
"Just as there are changes in the economy, trade, and technology in the world, we have created a mechanism where we can follow and instantly adapt to changes related to education.
And with the Century of Turkey Education Model, which is the subject of very different and ideological debates in the public eye, we have actually brought back a skill-based education, as our president mentioned, to our country. In other words, we have subjected our educational philosophy to a radical change. This is important for us."
"THE OPPOSITION ACCUSES US OF ENCOURAGING CHILD LABOR"
Stating that with the Vocational and Technical Education Policy Document, they have created a mechanism in Turkey that allows and paves the way for everything that can be done if the sector, the business world, professional organizations, and the Ministry of National Education understand each other correctly, Tekin continued as follows:
"With so many representatives from the business world here, with our president (TOBB President Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu) and Mr. Bendevi present, I want to underline this. I especially request from you, Mr. President, that you do not sacrifice our policies to political debates.
Look, we answer dozens of parliamentary questions every day. At the center of these questions, 'You are encouraging child labor in MESEMs' is being claimed by the Republican People's Party. What are we doing? We are trying to strengthen vocational and technical education through MESEMs.
While we are doing this, the opposition accuses us of encouraging child labor. But the business world doesn't make a sound either. They continue to beat us up, they continue to criticize us.
My plea to them now is this: Please, if you remind the opposition and opposition political parties of your expectations regarding vocational and technical education, you will make our job easier. Let me say this insistently."
