Minister Tekin declares 'foreign schools crisis' as 'null and void'
Ongoing disputes between the Ministry of National Education (MEB) and certain foreign schools operating in Turkey regarding legal status and curriculum compliance are deepening. Minister Tekin made a statement on the matter.

Following the French schools, the Ernst-Reuter School, affiliated with the German Embassy in Ankara, also announced this week that it has stopped admitting Turkish students.
As the crisis involving foreign schools continues to deepen, a statement regarding the situation came from Minister of National Education Yusuf Tekin.
Speaking on the program titled Özgür İfade (Free Expression) broadcast on tv100, Tekin stated the following:
"Because these schools do not exist in our legislation, they are null and void. Students attending these schools are considered unregistered. This is not just about France; there is a problem involving 12 different states."
