Minister Tunç made the following statement regarding the matter:

An investigation has been launched regarding the use of a sentence comparing our President, Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, to the genocidal Netanyahu as a lower-third graphic on a television channel.

Our President, Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, is a leader who always stands against the oppressor and by the side of the oppressed and the victims; he is a pioneer of the call for justice.

Mentioning the name of Netanyahu, who slaughters babies, women, and innocent civilians in Gaza while disregarding human rights, in the same sentence as our President is a clear disrespect to the Presidency, our state, and our beloved nation.

These ugly perception operations, which never align with conscience, justice, and human dignity, will never be able to overshadow the honorable struggle that our President continues not only for our nation but for all of humanity.

IT WAS ANNOUNCED THAT THE SUBTITLE WAS WRITTEN BY MISTAKE

During a program broadcast on Tele 1 last night, where President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan's visit to the US was being evaluated, the text "What is the difference between RTE and Netanyahu?" appeared briefly as a subtitle. Although the channel announced that the subtitle was written by mistake, Minister of Justice Tunç announced with his statement that an investigation had been opened into the channel.
