Minister of Justice Yılmaz Tunç stated that female detainees and convicts in penal institutions will be allowed to hold their visits with relatives in the form of 'open visitations' for Mother's Day.
Sharing on his X account, Tunç used the following expressions:
"As the Ministry of Justice, we will allow female convicts and detainees in penal institutions to hold their visits with relatives who have visitation rights between May 13-17 as open visitations due to 'Mother's Day'.
I hope this decision, which we have taken in accordance with Article 15 of the Regulation on Visiting Convicts and Detainees titled 'Open visitation on holidays and special days', will be beneficial, and I celebrate the #MothersDay of all mothers."
