Minister Tunç: We have rescued justice from dilapidated buildings and the control of coup plotters
Minister of Justice Yılmaz Tunç, speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony for the Karabük Courthouse, stated that they have constructed 395 independent justice buildings across Turkey, adding that justice has been transformed into the nation's judiciary not only through physical spaces but also by purging it of tutelary and coup-oriented mentalities.

Minister of Justice Yılmaz Tunç attended the groundbreaking ceremony for the Courthouse to be built in Karabük. TheSpeaking at the ceremony,Tunçstated that during the AKP governments,Karabükreceived significant investments during this period.Minister Tunçnoted that Karabük has seena wide range of developments, from education to healthcare, transportation to public service buildings, and industrial facilities to infrastructure projects.stating that it has gained very important works,"With the AK Party governments, our Karabük has received very important investments and has been thesite of many projects. Just as it has been across Turkey,from education to health, transportation to public buildings, and public service structures to industrial facilities, our Karabük has gained very great works.Todayand we are ensuring the continuationof this," he said.
Emphasizing that the courthousewas an important need for Karabük,Tunç stated thatwork had begun from the very first day they took office, noting,"We had a deficiency in our public service buildings. We wanted our courthouse to be built as soon as possible."regarding its realization, our governor and members of parliament, as soon as they came for a 'congratulatory' visit during the first days of our Ministry, said let us bring a justice building to our hometown. We alsoimmediately startedproject work from the very first day," he stated.Minister Tunçnoted that the construction process of the courthouse
is progressingrapidly andwill be completed soon.Regarding the process,he shared the following information:
"After laying the foundation of our courthouse building, hopefully, the contractor firm will complete this project,which has a duration of 600 days, in less than 2years, and bring this beautiful work to our Karabük.Thus,justice services will be provided in a more suitable space, where the seat of justicein a manner befitting theexecution ofjustice."
Touching upon investmentsinthe justiceinfrastructure across Turkey, TunTunç said, "To date, we have built 395 independent courthouse buildingsacross Turkey. The number, which was 78, has risen to three hundred and ninety-fivein total."Stating that they did not settle for just constructing buildings, Tunç
included the following remarks in hisspeech:
"Of course, we did thissaid.When we say this, people ask, 'Did you only build buildings? Does building structures make justice areality?' No, we did not just build courthouses. From education to health, from universities to tunnels, from ports to infrastructure and superstructure projects, we have transformed TWhile ensuring Turkey's physical development, we also supported its economic progress. We renewed our public buildings and rescued justice from dilapidated buildings."
Emphasizing that justice has been freed from a tutelary mentality, Tunç said, "But we did not just rescue justice from dilapidated buildings or makeshiftWe did not just rescue it from courtroom halls. We rescued justice from being someone's backyard,from the control of coup plotters and tutelary forces,and made it the judiciary of the nation," he said.
Touching upon constitutional reforms, Tunç said,"There was a notion in the Constitution that 'coup plotters cannot be tried.'These changed with your votes. 30-40 years later, the September 12coup plotters and the February 28 postmodern coup plotters were brought to justice. were removed andit was ensured that they accounted for their actions before the nation,he stated.
Drawingattention to Turkey'sdemocratizationprocess, Tunç also emphasized determination in the fight against terrorism.stating that they are, "Hopefully, we willbuild a Turkey free of terror together.We willbe rid of terrorand we have a determined effortin this regard," he said.
TerTouching upon the process being carried out to endterrorism, Tunç said, "Hopefully, theprocess regarding the end of terrorism and the liquidation of the terrorist organization is currently beingconducted. The terrorist organization has decided to lay downits arms."
Emphasizing that the process continued in coordination with Parliament and state institutions, Tunç noted that the work of the National Solidarity, Fraternity and Democracy Commission established in Parliament was ongoing.touching upon the efforts, topermanently removeterrorismfrom Turkey'sagenda,they are workingwith determination.stated that they would continue towork.
