Interesting response from Minister Tunç to the 'Somali President's son' question

Minister of Justice Yılmaz Tunç's response to a question asked by a Fox reporter about the Somali President's son, saying, "The agenda is Palestine, my friend," drew backlash on social media.

MINISTER SIDESTEPPED THE QUESTION

Minister Tunç, who had stated on December 7 regarding the Yunus Emre Göçer homicide, "If there is a flaw or a crime, it will be followed up on," did not answer the question asked about the Somali President's son, Mohamed Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, by saying "The agenda is Palestine."

Even though they knew our response to the same question from a Fox reporter in Ankara a day earlier, which was 'Everyone is equal before the law, regardless of their title; we will investigate the incident in all its aspects'; it is clear that the attempt to distort and spread my response of 'We are currently at a program regarding Palestine' to the same Fox TV reporter, who extended a microphone from the crowd at a program about Palestine in Istanbul, is pure disinformation and not a well-intentioned attitude.

I would like to reiterate that we will meticulously follow the necessary investigation regarding those responsible in order to protect the rights and legal interests of our late motorcycle courier brother," he said.

WHAT HAPPENED?

The car with license plate 06 CD 4581, driven by Somali President's son Mohammed Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, hit the motorcycle driven by motorcycle courier Yunus Emre Göçer (38) from behind on November 30, at the Eurasia Tunnel exit on Kennedy Street in the direction of Zeytinburnu. Yunus Emre Göçer, who was seriously injured in the accident, lost his 6-day struggle for life in the hospital where he was taken.

It was revealed that 5 days after the Somali President's son, who caused the death of motorcycle courier Göçer, fled Turkey, a delegation from Turkey's Mogadishu Embassy met with Somali President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud in his office.
