Minister Tunç's statement on DEM Party: 'If it continues...'

Minister of Justice Yılmaz Tunç made a statement regarding the DEM Party. Tunç used the expressions, "If the DEM Party continues to support terrorism, it could be closed down."

Tunç's statement is as follows:

"The judicial investigation in Sur, Diyarbakır is ongoing. If you play with the nerves of our country and our nation regarding issues of unity and solidarity, you will face judicial and administrative investigations.

Within the framework of legal legislation, if a municipality supports terrorism, we have seen the implementation of this in the past. Does anyone want a trustee to be appointed or a party to be closed down for no reason? If you transfer resources to the enemies of the nation, those powers are used within the framework of the constitution and laws. One should not have to be forced to use these powers.

The nation does not vote for you to support terrorism. Incitement to violence is considered a crime and is not covered under freedom of expression. If the DEM Party follows the same path, it will face the same treatment. If the DEM Party continues to support terrorism, it could be closed down."
