Minister Tunç's statement on Eylem Tok: 'The request will be transmitted'

Minister of Justice Yılmaz Tunç made statements following the departure to the U.S. of 17-year-old driver T.C. and his mother Eylem Tok, who caused the death of one person and the injury of four others in Eyüpsultan after crashing his car into ATV-type vehicles on the side of the road.

In Eyüpsultan, 17-year-old driver T.C., who caused the death of Oğuz Murat Acı and the injury of I.G., T.A., S.K., and H.T. after crashing his car into ATV-type vehicles on the side of the road on March 1, fled to Egypt from Istanbul Airport with his mother Eylem Tok after the accident, and subsequently went to the U.S.

Communication has been established with U.S. authorities regarding the mother and son, for whom arrest warrants have been issued.

Minister of Justice Yılmaz Tunç made special statements to A Haber regarding the process.

Tunç stated, "The request will be transmitted to the U.S. within 1 week to 10 days. The process is underway for the Tok and Cihantimur family."
