Minister Tunç's statement on YKS allegations: 'The investigation is being conducted meticulously'

Minister of Justice Yılmaz Tunç announced that the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office has launched an ex officio investigation into false claims and posts regarding the YKS.

Minister of Justice Yılmaz Tunç, stated in a post on his Twitter account,

“An ex officio investigation has been launched by the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office for the crime of ‘Publicly Spreading Misleading Information’ regarding false claims and posts appearing in some media outlets and social media platforms concerning the leakage of questions from the Higher Education Institutions Examination (YKS) Basic Proficiency Test and Field Proficiency Test. The investigation is being conducted meticulously,” he said.

Minister Tunç included the following remarks: "Unreal social media posts aimed at disrupting the peace of candidates who have spent an intense study period to reach their goals, and their families who support them unconditionally, as well as the reputation of our institutions, can never be accepted. I wish all our candidates who sweated in the exam to achieve their dream professions a successful exam, and I hope they continue their education at the universities they desire.”
