Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu provided information regarding the latest status of air travel between Turkey and Iran in a statement made via social media.
Stating that the Mashhad airspace, which was closed due to Israeli attacks, has been opened to international flights, Uraloğlu said, "Iranian carriers will resume their flights on the Mashhad-Istanbul route today. This development will allow air travel between the two countries to resume, at least partially."
Minister Uraloğlu also provided information regarding the status of Turkish aircraft remaining in Iran, stating, "Tehran and Tabriz airspaces will remain closed, and this restriction will continue until July 2. We are continuing our negotiations with Iranian authorities to bring our aircraft remaining in Iran back to Turkey with special permission. Our efforts are ongoing both for the normalization of mutual flights and for the return of our aircraft," he said.
