Minister of Interior Ali Yerlikaya shared the details of the Heroes-28 Operation on his X account.

Yerlikaya announced that 2 terrorists, one in the green and one in the gray category, were neutralized.

Yerlikaya's statement is as follows:

"Within the scope of the Heroes-28 Operation carried out by our Provincial Gendarmerie Command in the rural area of Kemah, Erzincan, direct contact was established between our commandos and security guard teams and the terrorists.

The terrorist codenamed Aras Digor, Yunus Babayiğit, who was in the Green category of the Ministry of Interior's Wanted Terrorists List and who gave the order for the martyrdom of 3 of our Gendarmerie Specialist Sergeants, and the terrorist named H.G., who was in the Gray category, were neutralized along with their weapons.

It was determined that the treacherous terrorist named Yunus Babayiğit participated in actions that resulted in the martyrdom of 3 of our security personnel and the injury of 5 of our security personnel, and that he gave the orders for 6 actions.

It was determined that the terrorist named H.G. participated in 6 actions that resulted in the martyrdom of 1 of our citizens and the injury of 1 security officer."
