Minister Yerlikaya announces: 1 police officer martyred

Minister of Interior Ali Yerlikaya announced in a statement on X that a police officer has been martyred following a traffic accident.

Yerlikaya included the following statements in his post:

"Police Officer Cengiz PARLAK, serving in the Ankara Protection Branch Directorate, was martyred in a traffic accident that occurred in the Akyazı-Hendek location of Sakarya Province on 27.01.2024. 

I wish God's mercy upon our martyr; I extend my condolences to his grieving family, our heroic Police Department, and our Nation. May his place be high."
