Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya announced that the "Heroes-44" operations were carried out with the participation of 72 teams and 981 gendarmerie personnel.

Yerlikaya stated the following:

"The 'HEROES-44' operations were carried out with the participation of 72 teams and 981 gendarmerie personnel, aimed at destroying various weapons, ammunition, and explosives hidden in caves and shelters by members of the Separatist Terrorist Organization (BTÖ) to carry out attacks in rural areas during the winter months."
